Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham in three-way battle for Real Madrid's Brahim Díaz
Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool could be some of the busiest first division sides in the transfer market in 2025 as they plan team renovations and the trio could be ready to fight for a talented right winger.
According to the Spanish media Todo Fichajes (h/t 90min)Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool are looking for a raid to real Madrid star Brahim Díaz and the source added that offers “are already on the table.” Díaz has lost prominence at the Santiago Bernabéu after the arrival of Kylian Mbappé and could push to move elsewhere to play regular minutes.
Transfermarkt Values the Moroccan international for £33 million, a fee unlikely to deter any of the striker's English suitors. He already has the experience and knowledge of the Premier League having been in city of manchester's books, so clubs would have no concerns about his ability to adapt to life in England.
Liverpool could beat Arsenal and Spurs could beat Brahim
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could be beaten by Liverpool in the race to sign Brahim Díaz.
Should he join the Gunners, Brahim's prominence in the team is likely to remain as a supporting player as Mikel Arteta will continue with Bukayo Saka as his favorite right winger. Similarly, at Hotspur Way, the 25-year-old will have to compete with Brennan Johnson for a regular place in the team, while there will also be concerns about winning trophies and playing in the champions leaguegoals that have eluded the Spurs for several years.
At Liverpool, however, Diaz could be a good option to replace him. Mohamed Salah He has an eye for goal, is a fantastic dribbler and has a track record of playing in the biggest Champions League games along with a winning CV.
The Reds' need for a right winger is perhaps more dire than Arsenal or Tottenham's, especially if they fail to agree a new deal with Salah, so they could potentially offer Brahim the best possible contract as well.
That said, it will be interesting to see if there is any interest in the player from overseas clubs and if he is also interested in returning to England or considers that chapter closed.
Real Madrid will not let him leave mid-season given the large number of injuries he has suffered and any transfer of Brahim Díaz will have to wait until next summer.
