Arsenal said Champions League glory could be more likely than Premier League title due to Man City theory
Arsenal are third in the Premier League, but talkSPORT's Danny Murphy believes winning the Champions League could be more achievable.
The gunmen face Porto in the last 16 of Europe's elite competition this month after a six-year absence from the tournament.
Arsenal are also chasing their first first division title for 20 years, having come so close to glory last season, although ultimately falling short in recent weeks.
Reigning champions Manchester City are also firmly in contention and as a result, murphy believes that Mikel Arteta's team could do better on the continent.
It comes after Arsenal followed a victory over Manchester City at the Emirates earlier this season with another impressive victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
When asked about White and Jordan if he thinks they can win the Champions LeagueHe said: “Well, they would have to do tremendously well at certain times of the season when they would also try to win the Premier League.”
“But in specific games… last year, when Arsenal showed up to play City, you thought: 'They'll finish it.'
“They come to Liverpool and you think: 'Liverpool are the favourites'. In specific matches this season they have shown against Manchester City, they have beaten them, against Liverpool, they have beaten them, they can beat the best. Manchester City is the best team in Europe, they have beaten them.
“Away from home, they went to Anfield and got a credible draw, let's see how they do at the Etihad.
“But in the Champions League, when things can go (either way), you could argue they probably have a better chance of that than in the Premier League with City's history.

“Because in specific games they have shown that they are capable. City in 38 games is relentless, City in the Champions League can have a bad day.”
Liverpool are also in the race for the Premier League title this season, but Arsenal have taken four points from them and also beat City in October.
The Gunners travel to the Etihad Stadium in the end of March in a big clash that will probably prove decisive for the confrontation.
Arteta's side have also had success in the Champions League this season, finishing comfortably top of their group ahead of PSV Eindhoven, Lens and Sevilla.
Arsenal have never won the competition and in their closest attempt lost the final in 2006 against Barcelona.
