Arsenal's new signing Mikel Merino has suffered a shoulder injury in his first training session for the club.
Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the £32million Real Sociedad man will be out for “a few weeks” with a suspected fracture.
Merino, whose arrival was announced on TuesdayHe was involved in a collision with Gunners defender Gabriel and was later pictured wearing a sling.
“It's a shame,” Arteta said. “He has a shoulder injury and looks like he'll be out for a few weeks.”
“He fell to the ground and Gabi fell on top of him. It's probably a fracture.”
