Aston Villa further celebrated the club’s 150th anniversary with a special exhibition at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery on Thursday night.
The limited edition event showcased the inspiration behind our landmark anniversary kit, blending art, history and football culture into an unforgettable experience to mark Villa’s historic milestone.
Recently reopened following extensive renovation, the spectacular Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery hosted around 150 guests for an evening of creativity and celebration of all things claret and blue.
The exhibition brought the artistry of Villa’s legacy to life, showcasing the deep connection between the club’s history and its bold, modern vision.
The evening featured live art creation along with curated photography highlighting special moments from the kit shoot, all brought to life through immersive displays.
Audio-visual storytelling complemented dynamic content that narrated the evolution of the club and its kit, along with historic memorabilia curated in collaboration with historians, celebrating Villa’s rich heritage.
President of Football Operations Monchi, Director of Football Operations Damian Vidagany and President of Business Operations Chris Heck were present at the celebration.
And they were joined by a host of former players and club legends, including Peter McParland (pictured), Tony Morley, Kenny Swain, Pat Heard, Brian Little, Ian Taylor, Alan McInally, Stiliyan Petrov, Thomas Hitzlsperger and many more.
The exhibition was accompanied by live music from lifelong Villa supporter and DJ Nathan Dawe, bringing a soundtrack for this landmark celebration in an iconic setting.
