Aston Villa will launch the final assault for Joao Felix, offer expected to be less than 50 million euros
Aston Villa are running out of patience in their pursuit of Joao Felix. Unai Emery is determined to add the Portuguese forward to his squad for the 2024-25 season, and his idea is that this will happen before the campaign that starts next weekend.
Sport say that a final assault will be launched by Aston Villa next week. They believe that Atletico Madrid need money after the big-money signings of Robin Le Normand, Alexander Sorloth, Conor Gallagher and Julian Alvarez, so they believe they are in a good position in the negotiations.
Their final offer is not expected to reach 50 million euros, the price that Atleti is willing to accept for Felix. If the proposal is rejected, Aston Villa is ready to walk away from the negotiations.
Barcelona they still have an interest in Felix, although he is not considered a priority at this stage of the summer transfer window. An agreement could be sought during the last days, but only if Atletico Madrid they have to accept a second loan – something that is off the table at this stage.
