An agreement was Le Normand was sealed in July, and alongside him, Atleti tried to sign several options. One of those was Cristhian Mosquera, although Valencia refused to give him up in the end because no offer reached his asking price of 25 million euros.
AS Diary they claimed that Atleti made two offers for Mosquera during the summer: the first was for 20 million euros plus add-ons, while the second had a fixed fee of 22 million euros. The total package was close to 25 million euros, but Valencia demanded this figure as an advance payment, which Los Colchoneros was not comfortable with.
Atletico Madrid They may return to bidding for Mosquera in 2025, as they will need a central defender when Lenglet ends his loan. It will be interesting to see if they can meet of Valencia requests on that occasion.
