Atletico Madrid are looking to overhaul their squad this summer, following a disappointing campaign for Diego Simeone's side. A number of signings will be targeted, and to collect the funds for these deals, a number of players will be moved – one of them could be Alvaro Morata.
Morata started the season in excellent form but has since gone flat in recent months, scoring just once in his last 16 appearances in all competitions. He, Angel Correa and Mephis Depay have all been linked with summer departures, which could suggest Simeone wants new striker options.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sports stadium) have reported that Juventus would like to sign Morata for the third time. For now, it is their only backup option, but if a move for Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna fails, they could approach Atleti to discuss a possible operation.
Atletico Madrid they are not under pressure to sell Morata, given that his contract lasts until 2026. They can command a significant fee, which will tell them to bring in their own targets during the summer.
