Barcelona delayed the announcement of their financial accounts from the summer, which were closed at the end of June, and it doesn't make good reading. The Blaugrana remain €91m in the red, largely due to their deal with Barca Vision.
The sale of 49.5% of the subsidiary, and the subsequent non-payment of a number of its partners, left the club in financial difficulties. The Blaugrana initially valued the company's shares at 200 million euros, but until June had only received 59 million euros of that amount.

Barcelona they wanted to point out in their statement that without the cost of the failed sale of Barca Vision, they would have made a profit of 12 million euros last season. However, its total is at a loss of 91 million euros. They are projecting a profit of €5 million for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign, but it is not yet clear if this includes paid sales of Barca Vision.
This will add fuel to the fire for the opponents of president Joan Laporta, who say that the decision of the previous management is no longer an excuse for Barcelona to be in a dire financial situation. Laporta continues to claim that Barcelona is growing financially, and praises his work to remove the club from “intensive care”. These accounts will be put to the members of the club to be passed in a general assembly, planned for October 20.
