In the summer of 2021, Barcelona sold Jean-Clair Todibo to OGC Nice for a total package of 15.5 million euros. Three years later, this figure is about to be added – but it will not be as much as the Catalans would have hoped.

From that agreement, Barcelona retained a 20% sell-on clause, which will come into effect this summer. It is because Juventus is closed in an agreement to sign Todibo from Nice, as reported by MD. It will be an initial loan, with an option to buy at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The loan fee will be 5 million euros, of which 1 million euros will go to Barcelona. If Juventus decide to activate the €35 million purchase option in their deal for Todibo, the Catalans will receive €7 million, bringing their total to €8 million.
Barcelona He would have loved Todibo to be sold permanently this summer as they desperately try to raise funds to sign Nico Williams, Dani Olmo and a new defensive midfielder. Alas, they will have to wait until 2025 – and even then, they will not receive 7 million euros that Juventus does not activate the option to buy.
