Barcelona looking for a second first team contract Fermin Lopez in consecutive years to Fermin Lopez, after his impressive performances. Lopez was one of two players to be included in Spain's Euro 2024 squad and their Olympics squad alongside Alex Baena, and the Blaugrana are delighted with their performances.

Lopez burst onto the scene in pre-season last year, scoring against Real Madrid, and managed to keep the first-team squad for the rest of the year. He was given a new deal until 2027 in September last year, and after scoring 11 times in just 19 starts, Sport they say they will try to give a new deal until 2029.

That said, the new deal is not a priority, and they will wait until they have room in their salary cap to do it. The Catalan newspaper details that his extension last year was rather “austere”, and was signed hastily to tie him down, with only one year left on his contract at the time. Now they will try to reward him with a new and better deal.
