Barcelona is facing a serious injury crisis, and there are only three games in the new season. Marc Bernal's ACL tearwhich will rule him out for the rest of the campaign, meaning he joins Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia in the medical room.
Eric's foot injury, confirmed this week, means Barcelona only have three senior centre-backs: Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez and Jules Kounde, who is likely to continue at right-back for the foreseeable future. Keeping this in mind, the club tries to use the limited financial space it has to make a new addition.
Jonathan Tah is a player who has been targeted, and second MDBarcelona have now submitted an opening bid of €20m to Bayer Leverkusen. Flick is a big fan of the 28-year-old, who would likely be a starter if he arrives.

Tah's contract expires in 2025, so Leverkusen may be forced to cash in before Friday's transfer deadline. Barcelona they would expect it anyway, as it would increase their chances of the offer being accepted.
