Barcelona are preparing to present a five-year contract offer to the Euro 2024 winner
Fermin Lopez has had a surreal 12 months. He established himself as an important member of the Barcelona first team last season, and this summer, he was part of the Spanish teams to win Euro 2024 and the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris . He will soon be rewarded for these efforts.
Barcelona sporting director Deco spoke with Fermin's agent earlier this week, and it was reported that a contract offer will be forthcoming for the 21-year-old. According to MD, the idea will be for Fermin to be offered a new five-year contract, which will keep him at the club until 2029.

Fermin's current deal, which was signed during last season, does not expire until 2027, but Barcelona officials are keen to extend his stay.
There is no doubt that Fermin is one of the players who Barcelona should be built over the coming years. Extending his contract is the right idea, although there are others who still need to address their situation – namely, like Pedri and Gavi (their deals end in 2026).
