Barcelona expect to have a player back for the Espanyol clash despite the physical problems
Barcelona have lacked defensive depth in the last 10 days, Eric Garcia has missed the club's last three games (vs Sevilla, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid). The 24-year-old, who has also been used in midfield this season, picked up a muscle injury before the match against Sevilla, and although he was expected to return last week, he has not yet done
Garcia was involved in the recovery session of Barcelona on Sunday, but as per MDhe did not practice with his teammates on Wednesday. However, it is seen as possible that he will be involved again before the end of the week.

As things stand, Barcelona expect to have Garcia available to face Espanyol on Sunday in the Barcelona derby. It could be the possibility for him to start as Hansi Flick plans to make significant changesalthough his injury woes make it difficult for him to be risky from the start.
