It has been another summer of change for Barcelona.
Hansi Flick replaced playing legend Xavi as coach, RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo signed for €60million (£51.2m; $65.5m), and club captain Sergi Roberto left after 18 years with the Catalans.
But some things never change. Olmo is one of several players Barca are currently unable to register under La Liga’s salary rules as they struggle to fill a €100million hole in their accounts from last season. The latest attempt to fix that involved their catering providers providing an immediate cash injection to an old ‘levers’ project related to “Web3, NFTs and the metaverse”.
Flick’s team kick off their La Liga campaign with a tricky visit to Valencia on Saturday at 8.30pm BST (3.30pm ET). So, do you want to know how our Barca writers Pol Ballus and Laia Cervello Herrero are feeling about the season? Whether the Blaugrana could still be in for Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams? Or what Brazilian striker Vitor Roque’s future looks like?
