Barcelona they are determined to bring in a new winger this summer but Athletic Club star Nico Williams it is not an option.
Williams has been linked as a long-term option for La Blaugrana, but his immediate future is in Bilbao.
The Spanish international has signed a contract extension in the Basque Country and his release clause is rumored to be at least €60m.
Barcelona's financial situation dictates that they cannot afford it and look elsewhere to strengthen their attack.
According to the latest update from The sports worldBarcelona are considering a move for Porto's left winger Pepe after he impressed against them in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
The 27-year-old is valued at around €25m, and would be a more viable target than Williams, having bagged eight goals and ten assists so far in 2023/24.
Williams' fellow Spanish international Dani Olmo is also an option but he is not convinced about a return to his boyhood club from RB Leipzig.
