President Joan Laporta stated that Barcelona continue to make great progress with his salary cap, while the president of the League Javier Tebas also praised for his work in the last transfer windows. However, the Catalan side remains very shy of being within its limit.
Breaking: Barcelona take Nike deal for granted. It is agreed verbally, and the only thing pending is the signature. Barça will return under the 1:1 rule of the League for the January transfer window. @JoanPoquiEraso, @ffpolo

La Liga has announced at the beginning of September that Barcelona's salary cap had increased by more than 100% since January, from just 200 million to 426 million euros this summer, which many took to mean that there was significant progress. However, after announcing his account details for the 2023-24 season, Barcelona says whose salary is projected to be around 500 million euros for the 2024-25 season, meaning that they are at least 74 million euros outside of the so-called 1:1 rule.
In essence, it means that Barcelona will continue to be restricted to being able to use 60% of the money they make or save to register new players, which could be significant in the second half of the season. Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were registered using the emergency injury rule, but Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen will return from January.
