Barcelona offered the chance to sign a highly qualified La Liga talent with a release clause of 15 million euros
Barcelona are eyeing a new left winger, and while their main options are Liverpool's Luis Diaz, Athletic Club's Nico Williams and former La Masia star Dani Olmo, they also have other options. One of those is Real Betis' highly rated youngster Assane Diao.
Diao burst onto the scene in the early stages of last season, making his full debut for Manuel Pellegrini's side. In total, he scored four goals throughout the campaign (2 La Liga, 1 Europa League and 1 Copa del Rey), while his performances in general caught the attention of many spectators.
However, Diao fell out of favor during the second half of the season, which led to him playing just once since the end of February. Now it has been proposed to Barcelona, as reported by MDas a possible low-cost alternative to Diaz, Williams and Olmo.

Diao currently has a €15m release clause, although that would rise to €30m if Betis double his wages. It would not be a small price to pay Barcelonaespecially for an unestablished player, so it would be a surprise if they went for him.
