Girona and Real Sociedad are the two sides that have been most closely linked to Guerra in the last week, but the former are the only team to have made a formal offer. Girona want to invest the 18 million euros they brought from the sale of captain Aleix Garcia to Bayer Leverkusen, but Los Che are looking for 20-25 million euros more variable, bearing in mind that 30% of the fee will go to Villarreal, his first. club.
Napoli and Barcelona seem unlikely to make an offer for Guerra as things stand, but the player will make the final call on his destination. Girona have already had two offers rejected, while La Real have so far only spoken to Valencia – the intention is to move Guerra if Mikel Merino leaves.
