For the last 16 months, the Spotify Camp Nou has been undergoing a reconstruction. Barcelona played their games at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, although sooner rather than later they hope to return home.
There is change on the way as younger players like Pedri and Gavi step up and take a leadership role. @tjuanmarti

On Monday, Barcelona held a press conference to discuss numerous deals on the ongoing project. Elena Fort, the vice president of the club, confirmed that the plan is still to return before the end of 2024, with an initial capacity of 66% being the plan (via MD).
“We are working to return to the end of the year, from here there are many factors. The exact day must be modulated. In the summer of 2026, the project must be completed – this is our forecast.
“The transfer to Montjuic meant losing 100 million euros. We need income and we have to find a balance between affordable prices for members who access the passes and the way to operate the new stadium.”
Joan Sentelles, who is director of operations for the Espai Barca project, also spoke about the possibility of Barcelona hosts an increased number of concerts in the new Spotify Camp Nou, similar to what Real Madrid did at the Bernabeu. However, there are no plans for this at the current stage.
“The forecast is not to do more concerts than those that were done before at the Camp Nou. The soundproofing is much improved compared to the old stadium and the few concerts that are held will have a low sound impact.
Fort also spoke on this matter.
“Concerts are a possibility to exploit Spotify, but they are not the basis. We have decided not to have a lawn to host regular concerts. It is not our basis nor do we change our minds due to the circumstances that others club are experimenting.”
