Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo is set to miss between four and five weeks with a hamstring injury, the club have confirmed.
The Spain international was substituted off in the 61st minute of Barcelona’s 4-1 victory at Girona on Sunday with the injury, which is now expected to keep him out of action until late October.
The 26-year-old scored the third goal of the match for Hansi Flick’s team and he has found the net in each of his three appearances for Barcelona, whom he joined this summer from RB Leipzig.

Olmo will miss Barcelona’s Champions League trip to Monaco on Thursday and will sit out the subsequent La Liga matches against Villarreal, Getafe and Osasuna.
The Spain international is also set to miss the Champions League home match against Young Boys on October 1 and the league game at Alaves five days later, but will be hoping to return to action following the October international break, as Barcelona host Sevilla on October 20 and play Bayern Munich in the Champions League three days later.
Lamine Yamal scored two first half goals for Barcelona at Girona before Olmo and Pedri scored after the break, while Cristhian Stuani added a late consolation for Girona as the visitors finished the match with 10 players after Ferran Torres was shown a red card.
