According to the Spanish newspaper Marca (via Bild), Bayern Munich are close to signing AC Milan left-back Theo Hernández.
It has previously been reported that Der Rekordmeister have shown significant interest in the Frenchman, but a deal could be completed once the European Championships are finished.
It is understood that Bayern’s Director of Sport Max Eberl believes that Hernández could be signed for a fee between €60 million and €70 million. If the record champions were to lure the 26-year-old away from Milan, then it would allow Alphonso Davies to complete a move to Real Madrid.
With the Canadian’s contract set to expire in 2025, this summer resembles Bayern’s only opportunity to receive a lucrative fee for his services, and the Spanish capital has long been Davies’ desired destination.
With five goals and four assists so far this season in Serie A, Hernández’s attacking profile certainly matches that of Davies, while also offering more defensive stability. This would also see the Frenchman follow in the footsteps of his brother Lucas Hernández, who played for Bayern between 2019 and 2023.
