Thomas Tuchel has confirmed today in his press conference that he will be without several key players in his squad for Bayern Munich’s final match of the season against Hoffenheim.
Bayern have been suffering with injury issues all season and will now be losing several of their regular starters as they look to get a result that will prevent them from slipping to third place in the league table.
Firstly, Tuchel has confirmed that top scorer Harry Kane will be missing on Saturday. Kane is receiving treatment from his personal doctor after suffering with a back injury before the match against Real Madrid match which has now gotten worse.
Kane has not played since being replaced in the 2-1 defeat in the Champions League semi-final second leg earlier this month.
Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala and Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting will also not be in the squad. Chupo-Moting is currently suffering with the flu whilst Sane and Musiala remain injured.
Tuchel also provided updates on four more players who will be missing from the matchday squad.
“Kingsley Coman is trying everything to be at the Euros but won’t be in the squad tomorrow. Sacha Boey isn’t in the squad due to private reasons. Rapha Guerreiro and Serge Gnabry are also injured.”
This will be Tuchel’s final match in charge of Bayern Munich after confirming recently that he couldn’t reach an agreement to stay at the club despite wanting to be kept by the Bayern hierarchy.
