Bayern Munich move to the Spanish coach after another rejection in the managerial search

It's safe to say that Bayern Munich's managerial search is not going well. They had already been kicked by the likes of Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann, and at the beginning of this week, they were rejected by Ralf Rangnick, the current coach of the Austrian national team.

With Thomas Tuchel set to leave at the end of the season, a new manager is being sought by the Bundesliga giants. After this series of rejections, they have now turned their attention to former Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui, as reported by sources in Germany (via MD).

Lopetegui has been out of work since leaving Premier League side Wolves just before the start of this season. He was recently passed over for the AC Milan job, but could now be set to return to Bavaria from the summer.

Manchester United's Erik ten Hag is also on Bayern's list, but Lopetegui has an advantage, in that it is currently unattached.
