Bayern Munich predicted XI v Heidenheim: Vincent Kompany has big decisions to make

0

Vincent Kompany will be forced into at least two changes when his Bayern Munich side host Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon. The Belgian has already confirmed that Daniel Peretz will start in goal in place of Manuel Neuer, who is struggling with a rib problem while Harry Kane is also sidelined.

Who starts ahead of Kane – who became the quickest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals, doing so in 43 games – is a bigger decision for Kompany. Jamal Musiala started as a false nine in their 1-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup in midweek, while Thomas Müller replaced Kane in the game against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. Another option would be to play Mathys Tel through the middle, but kicker suggest that Bayern will go with two false nines in Musiala and Michael Olise.

Elsewhere, Sacha Boey returned from injury against Bayer Leverkusen and is in contention to start while Aleksandar Pavlović could also return after having surgery on a broken collarbone after replacing Leon Goretzka in midweek.

Bayern Munich likely line-up v Heidenheim

Daniel Peretz – Sacha Boey, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Alphonso Davies – Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović – Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman – Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala.
