Bayern Munich are close to signing Fulham and Portugal midfielder João Palhinha (28). According to Kicker, there is an agreement in principle between the two clubs, with the Portugal international expected to join after the European Championship.
Just last summer, it looked as though Palhinha would be heading to the Allianz Arena, only for it to fall through at the eleventh hour. But fast forward 12 months, and it appears that the deal is all but done as the Rekordmeister end their search for a No. 6.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich will pay Fulham €46m plus bonuses, and Palhinha will sign a four-year contract until 2028, with the medical taking place after Portugal’s participation at Euro 2024. Overall, according to The Guardian, the deal will see Fulham pocket a reported €56m.
The 28-year-old played 39 games across all competitions for Fulham last season, impressing for Marco Silva’s Fulham side, and will significantly strengthen Vincent Kompany’s Bayern squad.
