Bayern Munich star Michael Olise eclipses Harry Kane for award as Crystal Palace make unwanted history
Michael Olise has shown struggling Crystal Palace what they are missing after starring since joining Bayern Munich.
The French winger completed a £60m move to Bavaria and has fitted in perfectly with six goals and three assists in ten games in all competitions.
An ever-present figure under Vicente KompanyOlise's performances have surpassed even those of Harry Kane since he received the Bayern player of the month award for September.
Chosen by the fans, Olise obtained 39 percent of the votes, having directly participated in seven goals (five goals, two assists).
He also marked his Champions League debut with a brace in a 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb.
In this way, he became the first Frenchman since Thierry Henry in 1997 to score two goals in his first match in the European Cup.
Meanwhile, at Selhurst Park, things couldn't be much worse.
Crystal Palace fell to a defeat 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Monday night as they continue their quest for their first Premier League win of the season.
It means it is their worst start to a top-flight season since 1992/93.
The result also means history was made, as it is the first time in English football that four top-flight teams have failed to record a win in their opening eight league games.
Joining Palace in their misery are Wolves and Southampton, who only have one point each to show for their efforts so far.
Meanwhile, 17th-place Ipswich are also winless in their first eight matches, drawing four and losing four.
For Palace, it has been 155 days since they last won a Premier League match: a 5-0 over Villa Aston on the last day of last season.
This season, the Eagles have scored just five goals, the fewest of any Premier League team.
As well as losing the creativity of Olise, Oliver Glasner's side also lost one of their best defenders, Joachim Andersen, to Fulham.

Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, the former Arsenal Star Aaron Ramsey said it was clear who missed Palace the most.
He said: “Olise is a great lady.
“What are you doing now to Bayern Munich and the quality of player he is. He may be one of the best to ever come out of Palace.
“The impact he had on that team last year was notable, so he's not that easy to replace.”
With Palace now in the bottom three and a tough home clash against Tottenham ahead, the pressure is mounting on Glasner to prove there is life after Olise.
