Bayern Munich have today confirmed that the club will submit a planning application to the city of Munich to construct a new professional performance centre on its training ground at their Säbener Straße HQ.
This decision comes after the supervisory board voted unanimously in favour at its meeting on Monday.
The Rekordmeister have been at their current base since 1949 and an office was build in 1970. They have continued to develop the site with renovations taking place in 1979, the late 1980s and in 2008, with the club now taking the next step to develop the site even further.
Bayern Munich confirmed that a location and usage analysis showcased all the possible uses necessary to build adequate and sustainable infrastructure on the current site. They also confirmed that will remain transparent and involve the neighbourhood, and anyone responsible, about their planning process.
The Rekordmeister build a Campus in 2017, which is also used for Bayern Frauen.
