Bayern Munich & Werder Bremen: DFB impose fines after fan protests

The DFB have imposed its first fines on Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Freiburg and Holstein Kiel for the fan protests against the DFL investor deal.

Bayern have to pay €40,000 after throwing various objects onto the pitch against Werder Bremen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bochum and the club can use €13,200 of that for further security measures.

Freiburg have to pay three fines which totals to €30,000, Werder Bremen will pay €10,000 and 2. Bundesliga side Holstein Kiel €5,000 for similar incidents.

Depending on the length of the interruption, Bundesliga clubs will pay between €10,000 and €50,000 while 2. Bundesliga sides will pay between €5,000 and €30,000- 3. Liga sides will pay between €2,500 and €15,000. If the throwing of objects didn’t result in the game being suspended for a period, a flate rate of the following will be paid: Bundesliga (€5,000), 2. Bundesliga (€2,500) and 3. Liga (€1,250).
