As reported by Florian Plettenburg, Bayern Munich’s 2025 transfer priority will be the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
The club will plan to save money in the first half of 2025 as they head into the summer transfer window. It’s believed that the Rekordmeister aims to budget over €100m for the transfer fee of Wirtz.
However, as reported by GGFN, B04 and Wirtz are said to be in positive discussions over the 21-year-old staying at the BayArena beyond the summer and even potentially signing a contract extension.
However, regardless of if Wirtz stays at the BayArena or not, Leverkusen will look to sign his successor in the summer.
Other Possible Transfers
The next transfer of great interest for Bayern is that of Jonathan David from French club Lille.
The interest mainly comes from possibly signing the Canadian international on a free transfer with his current contract expiring in the summer.
However, if Mathys Tel stay with Bauern, it’s unlikely that a new striker will be signed in 2025.
This line of thinking also goes for both Viktor Gyökeres (26, Sporting CP) and Omar Marmoush (25, Eintracht Frankfurt), although they are still being monitored by the club.
