The Alvaro Valles transfer saga has been rumbling all summer, and with less than a week to go until the end of the summer window, he is no closer to joining Real Betis. Las Palmas are determined not to let him leave under their valuation, despite the real threat of losing him for nothing in 2025.
Betis will only look to sign Valles if Rui Silva, their current number one goalkeeper, leaves the club. So far, there has been insufficient interest in their services, but that could be about to change.
According to BeSoccer (via ED), Benfica made a move to return Silva to Portugal. A loan offer was presented, although Betis rejected it, because they will only entertain a permanent transfer – this will be able to raise the necessary funds to pay for the move of Valles.
The expectation is that Benfica will come back with a new offer next week. €6-8m will be accepted by Betiswho would immediately use the money to bring Valles back to the Benito Villamarin.
