RB Leipzig standout striker Benjamin Sesko rejected Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United signing a new contract in Germany.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Slovenian has agreed new terms in what will be a blow for the Premier League giants.
Kicker had previously revealed that Sesko had a €65m (£55m) exit clause in his contract which would come into effect on June 30, but Leipzig intended to “buy out” that part of his deal while agreeing an extension.
That has now become a reality, with the 21-year-old set to remain in the Bundesliga after a breakthrough season in which he scored 18 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions.
The Sesko agreement is similar to the one Erling Haaland He did it when he stayed at Borussia Dortmund for one more season.
talkSPORT understands they were so interested Arsenal The Slovenian says that Leipzig even called the London team to inform them that he was staying.
Chelsea and Manchester United had also been heavily linked, with Sesko long on the radar of Europe's top teams having arrived at talent factory Red Bull Salzburg.
He moved to RB Leipzig's senior team in the summer of 2023 and has since become a must-see with a series of extraordinary goals.
However, Sesko was surprisingly overshadowed by fellow 28-goal forward Lois Openda in 2023/24. He also had a chance to make a name for himself in a Champions League round of 16 match against Real Madrid, but wasted six blaming chances in a 1-0 defeat.
The young striker can now make amends in the coming weeks after being drawn into a Euro 2024 group with England, Denmark and Serbia.
The tournament marks Slovenia's first European Championship since 2000, and Sesko has already become a star, scoring 11 goals in 29 games and is on track to reach his all-time record of 33 goals.
