Tottenham Hotspur's good run was broken just before the international break when a second-half comeback by Brighton & Hove Albion gave them their third first division of the season at Amex Stadium.
The Lilywhites return home on Saturday, October 19, opening matchday eight with the visit of western ham.
Here's a look at the starting lineup as Ange Postecoglou's men look to bounce back and win after an extremely poor performance in the second 45 against the Seagulls.
goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario will play between the sticks against West Ham. His form, like that of the rest of his team-mates, has been commendable, but the Italian conceded three goals last time out and will look to make amends for that with a clean sheet this time around.
Defenders – There is no denying that Tottenham are a well-organized team at the back despite their recent slump. Ange Postecoglou will not make any changes to a trusted defensive line.
Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro will play as left and right backs respectively, while Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will retain their positions in the middle of the defence.
His son is likely to be available from the bench
Midfielders – In the early stages of the season, Ange Postecoglou has used his midfielders interchangeably although the Australian has preferred a consistent formula in the Premier League.
Rodrigo Bentancur is therefore expected to start in Spurs' defensive midfield position this weekend. Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison will also get the nod in the engine room, with their attacking creativity proving instrumental in Spurs' form in front of goal of late.
Forwards – Brennan Johnson is in excellent form having scored in his last six games for Tottenham. He is achieving indispensable status at right back and will retain his place on the wing.
Son Heung-min is expected to be available between the left wingers, but given that he had a muscle injury, the South Korean could only get minutes off the bench with Timo Werner playing from the first whistle.
Dominic Solanke, another of the Spurs' best players, will lead the line.
This is how the team could look on paper:
