Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Osnabrück forward Erik Engelhardt (26), who was the club’s top scorer in the 2. Bundesliga last season with 10 goals.
Responsible for almost a third of Osnabrück’s goals last season, Bild report that Engelhardt is likely to leave following the club’s relegation into the 3. Liga. But although the player’s entourage are in contact with club bosses, as of yet, there are no talks between Blackburn and Osnabrück.
But not only are Blackburn interested in the 26-year-old striker, several 2. Bundesliga clubs have shown an interest in Engelhardt, and there’s already been loose talks with two clubs.
During his time at Osnabrück, Engelhardt has scored 21 and created nine in 69 games across all competitions. And following the club’s relegation into the third division, Bild report that he would like to take the next step in his professional career.
Engelhardt has a contract until 2026.
