Borussia Dortmund expected to finalise deals for VfB Stuttgart duo this week

kicker reports that Borussia Dortmund are expected to finalise the deals for VfB Stuttgart duo Sehrou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton this week.

It has been widely known for a while now that Guirassy and Anton will join Dortmund after the club activated both of their release clauses, while Stuttgart director Fabian Wohlegmuth even confirmed their departure himself last week.

It is reported that Dortmund will pay the €18m release clause for Guirassy, and he is likely to become one of the club’s top earners, while they will also pay the €22m release clause for defender Anton. It is likely that the German international will be the replacement for Mats Hummels.

However, Dortmund are not done there. They are also pushing to complete the signing of Brighton and Germany midfielder Pascal Groß, who has also attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt. Sky Germany reports that an agreement has been reached between the player and club but Dortmund are still negotiating over a fee for the 33-year-old. The fee is expected to be between €8-10m.

It is clear Dortmund want to be back challenging again with Bayern Munich and defending champions Bayer Leverkusen, although the work in the transfer market seems positive, how the team will perform under new head coach Nuri Sahin is yet to be seen.
