Brighton midfielder Pascal Groß is attracting interest from the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund the next club to show interest, reports Sky Germany.
In the summer, Dortmund are looking for a new defensive midfielder and Groß is one of the names on the list. However, internally there are doubts surrounding the 32-year-old, due to his age.
Dortmund had issues with the number six position last summer as they chose to keep Emre Can and decided against signing Edson Álvarez, then of Ajax. The positive for Dortmund is the emergence of 18-year-old Kjell Wätjen who impressed in his appearances towards the later end of the season.
Die Schwarzgelben also face competition from Eintracht Frankfurt, who have had a more longstanding interest in the midfielder. Frankfurt tried to conduct a deal with Groß last year, but nothing came out of it. Die Adler are interested in pursuing the deal once again but are aware a deal may be difficult to complete.
Groß is aware of the interest from Frankfurt but has yet to make a decision on his future as he feels comfortable on England’s south coast.
