Sport Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund have received the complete €148m fee from Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele.
The winger joined Dortmund in 2016 from Rennes for €35m and only spent one season in the Bundesliga before then joining Barcelona for a base fee of €105m in the summer of 2017 after a long transfer saga that saw Dembele go on strike.
However, with the money from this transfer, Dortmund went on to spend it on a group of players who could be considered flops such as Abdou Diallo, Andriy Yarmolenko and Maximilian Philipp. The transfer of Dembele did allow Dortmund to bring in Jadon Sancho though, who was a resounding success.
Dortmund had managed to negotiate a sum of €42m in bonuses for Dembele with his move to Barcelona and now those bonuses have been met and BVB have received the full amount.
The 27-year-old moved to PSG last summer for €50m after a rather underwhelming time in Catalonia from a performance point of view. Which saw him play 186 times for the club where he won LaLiga three times and the Copa del Rey twice.
