Borussia Mönchengladbach would reluctantly sell Tomáš Čvančara this winter amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, according to Florian Plettenberg.
Internally, the club are happy with Čvančara’s performance and would like to keep him. However, they are aware that the forward has market interest right now and should they receive a top offer, they would sell in January.
The 24-year-old himself is also considering a move to Saudi Arabia should a formal offer be made.
Čvančara joined Gladbach from Sparta Prague in June 2023 for a fee of €10.5m.
Since then, the Czech international has played 38 competitive matches for Gladbach across the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.
In those 38 games, Čvančara has scored seven and assisted on two occasions.
The player’s current transfer market value as per TransferMarkt is set at €5m. However, should a club in Saudi Arabia want him, it’s clear that it’s going to take quite a lot more than that for Gladbach to accept.
