Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst to recieve Germany call up for October international break
Bild reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst will be called up to the German national team for the upcoming international break.
This will be Kleindienst’s first call-up to the German national team and he will replace Niclas Füllkrug who will miss the break with an Achilles injury.
The 29-year-old moved to Gladbach in the summer from Heidenheim and has started his time at Borussia Park well. In five games for Die Fohlen, Kleindienst has two goals and one assist in the Bundesliga and seems to be a big upgrade on the likes of Jordan from last season.
Kleindienst will likely battle it out with Maximilian Beier, Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav for the striker position. Undav is the most in-form German striker at the moment scoring five times in six games since the September international break where he also scored and assisted against the Netherlands to kickstart his season.
Karim Adeyemi and Paul Wanner have previously been reported as players who could also join up with the senior side in October.
In the October break, Germany have two UEFA Nations League games away at Bosnia and Herzegovina before hosting the Netherlands in the return game in Munich.
