Brighton boss Paul Barber responds to Roberto De Zerbi's 'frustrating' links with Barcelona and Liverpool jobs

Barcelona and Liverpool's interest in Roberto De Zerbi is a compliment but also “frustrating”, according to Brighton chief executive Paul Barber.

“It's a compliment, obviously it can also be frustrating for us, but we prepare for these eventualities.

“I hope Roberto is here for a long time. He is happy here, he is doing a great job here, the fans love him, the players love him even more and we hope he stays for a long time.”

Barcelona has De Zerbi on its list of substitutes for Xavi, who leave the club in summer.
