Aston Villa is pleased to announce Woody Burgess has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The midfielder, who penned a scholarship back in July, has continued to progress since joining the club from Cheltenham Town a few years ago.
Burgess has moved up to the Under-18 squad for the current campaign, and Academy Manager Mark Harrison has praised his attitude.
“We are really pleased to see Woody sign his first professional contract,” he said.
“It is a proud occasion for him and his family and a recognition of his development over the last few years.
“We look forward to working with Woody over the next few years to help his development further.”
