Our old mucker Simon McMahon Check out your Scottish preview:
In Scotland, Celtic have a chance to move six points clear at the top if they beat Hearts today, with second-placed Rangers not playing until tomorrow. Livingston's relegation from the top flight could be confirmed today at Motherwell, while Aberdeen host St. Johnstone and Ross County play Hibs. A word too for John McGlynn's Scottish League One champions Falkirk, who will finish their 36-game league campaign unbeaten if they avoid defeat at home to Alloa.
The lawn party is in full swing on Portman Road. Our man Jonathan Liew was there to absorb it:
How can you not love football on days like this? How can you walk these streets and not feel the passage of time, the 22 years of watching and waiting, a volcano of boredom and frustration that finally turns into something strange and beautiful?

A sumptuous team goal makes absolutely sure that first division leaders. It's up to you, city.
And Plymouth has remained on top, beating Hull 1-0
Ipswich are in the Premier League!
The final whistle blows at Portman Road and fans flood the field. Kieran McKenna's side sealed it with a dominant 2-0 victory over relegation-confirmed Huddersfield. It is difficult to overstate Ipswich's achievement, given the increasing stratification of the Championship between those doped with parachute payments and those without. The two teams that came up with them last season have struggled, but Ipswich have soldiered on. Immense.
Great goal at the end of the Championship: Blackburn stay on top, now holding a 2-0 lead against champions Leicester, Beachside, with the effervescent Sammy Szmodics scoring the second. Given the mess Rovers are in off the field, this is a huge boost

Preamble
Greetings to all, and welcome to the afternoon stretch of a breathless sports Saturday. As we digest the hows, the whys, and the “do you mind if I don't?” championship final, we have a couple of important Premier League games to face now. Luton's failure to beat Everton last night has encouraged Nottingham Forest, whose fate is consequently in their own hands and they hope to put the light between themselves and the relegation zone with a win at doomed Sheffield United. Burnley are also still thinking about their chances of survival, after promising recent performances, and host a Newcastle team with their eyes on a Europa League spot. Elsewhere, it's the home bantz that's at stake, but not much else, when Brentford host Fulham.
Further afield, Real Madrid can clinch the Spanish title today if they beat Cadiz at home at 3.15pm BST and Barcelona fail to win in Girona in their match at 5.30pm. In the Bundesliga, dethroned Bayern Munich can at least secure second place by beating third-placed Stuttgart, while Dortmund will look to continue their dynamic performance against PSG with a win over Augsburg to close out the tie. gap in fourth place.
There is also significant action in Scotland, with leaders Celtic hosting third-placed Hearts, who are looking to extend their three-point lead over Rangers (who play Kilmarnock tomorrow), as the battle for survival intensifies. with second-bottom Ross County hosting third-bottom Hibs and St Johnstone in Aberdeen, OH, and the National League North playoff final between Brackley and Boston to stay. Don't go anywhere!
