Carlo Ancelotti he insisted Luka Modric will decide his own future at Real Madrid.

Modric is out of contract in Madrid at the end of the season and is making a call on his plans before the end of the campaign.

All signs point to the 38-year-old moving away from the Spanish capital amid frustrations over a lack of game time in the Spanish capital.

The veteran midfielder was previously allowed the flexibility to sign one-year renewals in recent seasons, but that model seems to be changing.

Ancelotti is open to keeping his experience in the team next season, but wants more guarantees on what his role will be.

The offers come from the Saudi Pro League and MLS, which he considers, alongside a possible return to former club Dinamo Zagreb.

Ancelotti will not insist on a decision and Modric will be allowed to accept or reject the possibility of continuing his career in Madrid.

“I can't be in Modric's head. He's a top man, very humble, I like him,” according to reports from Brand.

“I don't know if he wants to stay and be a backup player.”
