It would be fair to say that Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon have been two of the best English attacking players in the Premier League this season.

Palmer has arguably been Chelsea's best player and most lively attacking player this year.

Meanwhile, Gordon has scored some great goals for Newcastle and has been in form all season.

The former Everton player has had a change of heart after a difficult start on Tyneside and is thriving.

Both should compete for a place at Euro 2024, so it will be fascinating to see who will be the better of the two tonight.

Battle for Europe

The battle to finish in the Europa League and Europa Conference League places is very close.

If Chelsea win tonight, they will be in it again.

Meanwhile, a win for Newcastle takes them into seventh place.

Howe delighted to have Willock back

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe finally gets Joe Willock back from injury.

The midfielder was a crucial part of the Toon squad last season but has been battling Achilles and hamstring injuries since late May.

However, he started against Wolves and is back in the XI tonight and Howe is very happy.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “He is a very important player.

“We really miss his energy and his scoring ability from midfield, but he also has the energy to come back, so it's been a big miss for us.”

“Our midfield has been stretched. We've had three fit midfielders for two or three months and those players have done very well moving forward, but it's good to have some strength in depth.”
