One of the revelations of the early stages of the 2024-25 La Liga season is Chrisantus Uche. The 21-year-old was signed by Spanish football's third tier from Getafe, and has since become an undisputed starter for coach Jose Bordalas.

Uche, who arrived at Getafe as a midfielder, but is often used in attack by Bordalas, has begun to gain suitors in recent weeks, and according to AS DiaryPremier League clubs are leading the charge. At last weekend's draw against Valencia, there were scouts present from Chelsea, Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth at the Coliseum.

Uche's asking price is unlikely to be a problem for one of the three clubs mentioned, though Getafe would need a bill in which they only receive 80% of the fee – 20% will go to Ceuta, from which the young Nigerian joined during the summer. It remains to be seen if it is targeted further in 2025.
