And new boss Enzo Maresca could have his second transfer of the year already in the form of Aston Villa Ace Kellyman.

The two Premier League clubs are negotiating a deal that could see the 18-year-old move to Stamford Bridge for £19million.

Kellyman has yet to undergo a medical and has not agreed to personal terms with the Blues.

The youngster looked impressive in Premier League 2, where the under-21 club plays, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances.

Last season, he played six games in all competitions for Villa after joining the club from Derby County in March 2022.

The teenager made his professional debut in August 2023 when he starred in the 3-0 victory over Hibernian in the Europa Conference League.

He marked his first appearance with a debut after setting up Leon Bailey for the second goal of the match.

In the Premier League, Kellyman played twice: two appearances off the bench for Villa against city of manchester and crystal Palace in the latter stages of the season.

It is not the first time Chelsea have signed players from Villa's academy, signing Carney Chukwuemeka for £20m last summer.

Meanwhile, Villa are close to making their first signing of the summer and Ian Maatsen will join from Chelsea for 37.5 million pounds sterling.

The Dutchman was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January, helping them reach the Champions League final, which they lost to real Madrid.
