“Absolute world,” Merse says of Palmer's latest teaching job for the Blues. “He just passes it to the corner – phenomenal goal – on the turn, beats two defenders and just passes it. Incredible shot.”

Having witnessed Forest's impressive defense At Brentford last weekend I wouldn't be at all surprised if they handed over to Tottenham today. And where would that leave Ange Postecoglou?

tell me in emailTottenham fans.

I would be surprised if this ended 0-0.. But it's 0-0,” Paul Merson said on Sky Sports about Chelsea-Fulham.

It surprises me There are no more Gunners scared by our Carabao Cup draw,” writes Kieran McKintosh. “Facing people like Isak, Gordon, Tonali et al Hitting our defense over and over twice in a row doesn't fill me with confidence. Especially since our own response to Isak is wounded. Fingers crossed for the New Year, both with this and with asking that girl out at my conferences.”

Good luck mate.

I had to throw away the Scottish Premiership essay I just wrote. having received this from Simon McMahon:

“Happy holidays to you and all the watch watchers, Luke. Hibs beat Hearts 2-1 in the Edinburgh derby to move up to seventh in the table and leave Hearts in 10th place, just two points above St. Johnstone at the bottom, having played one more game . Hearts fans will now be looking for a favor from Dundee United, who visit St. Johnstone today and could go fourth with a win if, as expected, Celtic take care of Motherwell at home…”

The difficult situation of Manchester City It's its own kind of deja vu nightmare. Presenting dominance, taking the lead, creating numerous opportunities, disregarding them and the pesky enemy taking one of the few to frustrate those in blue.

Add to this a regrettable missed penalty by Erling Haaland in the 53rd minute, received with a mischievous wink by Jordan Pickford after his save, and times are getting tougher for Pep Guardiola's men.

Newcastle-Aston Villa: The Villans remain unchanged after beating City. For the Magpies, Joelinton returns from suspension and Kieran Trippier also returns.

Bournemouth vs Palace: Three changes for the locals: Enes Unal returns after their 3-0 victory against Manchester United. Captain Lewis Cook and Max Aarons are also back.

Eberechi Eze, Daniel Munoz and Trevoh Chalobah return to Palace while Oliver Glasner also makes three changes.

Chelsea-Fulham: Enzo Maresca has reinstated Marc Cucurella to his team after a suspension. Marco Silva, from Fulham, for his part, makes five changes: Joachim Andersen, Sasa Lukic, Andreas Pereira, Adama Traoré and Raúl Jiménez enter.
