Chelsea have left Trevoh Chalobah out of their pre-season squad for their US tour amid uncertainty over the defender's future
Trevoh Chalobah has been ruled out of Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States, talkSPORT understands.
The defender is one of the players Chelsea They are willing to sell this summer and have interest from Crystal Palace.
Chelsea have a number of players in their squad, with fellow centre-backs Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi and summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo all given the go-ahead to head to the United States.
It is understood the decision to leave Chalobah at home was not taken lightly by the club.
Chalobah has been in the Chelsea squad for 17 years, having joined the club at the age of eight.
After signing a professional contract in 2018, Chalobah had to wait three years for his first-team debut at the Blues, having been loaned out on three separate occasions.
In his first appearance he won a trophy by helping Chelsea to Super Cup glory by beating Villarreal in the final.
Although he has failed to establish himself as a consistent starter for Chelsea, Chalobah had already attracted interest from Bayern Munich and West Ham.
The 25-year-old is currently under contract at Chelsea until 2028 after signing a new long-term deal in November 2022, making him harder to offload.
Chelsea's tour of the United States sees them take on Wrexham in the early hours of Thursday morning before facing Celtic on Saturday evening.
They will then face Mexican side Club America on August 1 before taking on Manchester City on Saturday, August 3. Chelsea will then face Real Madrid (August 7) and then travel back to England where they will face Inter Milan on August 11.
The west London club begin their Premier League campaign with a trip to reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday 18 August.
