Rubén Amorim is expected to make signing the left back his top priority in manchester united in 2025. Although Tyrell Malacia has been fit for a few weeks now, the Portuguese have opted for Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui in the position, while the less said about Luke Shaw's fitness over the last year or two, the better.
According to the Spanish media MARCA.The Red Devils are reflecting on a transfer for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson. The 27-year-old has made a name for himself under Marco Silva this season and after some brilliant performances for the Cottagers, he has been linked with the first divisionlarger sides, including Chelsea and Liverpool.
If interested parties materialize their interest in Robinson, Fulham will understandably find it difficult to retain him for much longer, although he will not be available on the cheap either. The US international's contract at Craven Cottage runs until June 2028 and he could command a decent amount, possibly more than his £23m valuation on Transfermarkt.
United will take the lead
Manchester United are likely to have the edge in beating Chelsea and Liverpool in potentially buying Antonee Robinson from Fulham next year.
Chelsea has Marc Cucurella, who has been playing very well this season, except for the occasional mistake. The Spaniard has been solid defensively and that seems a characteristic that Enzo Maresca will value more than offensive play given that the Blues like to defend deep and compactly.
On the other hand, Liverpool has Andy Robertson and although he is over 30 years old, the Scot has a few more years under his belt. It seems unforeseen that Arne Slot will get rid of him in the near future, so Robinson's playing time at Anfield would be restricted. Furthermore, a left-back is unlikely to be a priority for the Reds.
Meanwhile, Man United will be willing to pay a reasonable fee to bring in Robinson in order to guarantee him a starting spot. At full-back, his attacking play would be an asset for the Red Devils and Amorim would also have a player on their hands who has a few years of Premier League experience.
However, a January transfer for Robinson is unlikely as Fulham look to finish in the top half of the Premier League. However, if he continues to perform during the second half of the campaign, he will have plenty of suitors in the summer.
