And in the second half, Maresca He brought Joao Felix and also Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunkuand the duo combined to score the club's late winner.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk and 18-year-old striker Marc Guiu were substitutes and were not used.

Chelsea's wealth of attacking options have led fans to question where they will all fit into Maresca's system, which consists of two wingers, a No. 10 and a lone centre-forward.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea's London derby against rivals West Ham on Saturday – Live on talkSPORT – Maresca addressed those concerns, while outlining where he sees each player playing.

He said at his press conference: “As leftists, we have Jadon and Misha (Mykhailo Mudryk).

“As right-wingers, we have Noni and PeterAs attacking midfielders, we have Juan and Cole.

“As number 9, we have NicholasChristo (Nkunku) and Marc. We don't have that many players, we have two players for each position.”

He continued: “Christo can play as a number 9 or as an attacking midfielder and winger.

“Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) can play in the pocket and on the wings.

“Pedro was playing left wing because Jadon wasn't here and fit and between Misha, Pedro and Jadon, I preferred Pedro for that game… but that doesn't mean I'll always prefer Pedro.

“So the squad is pretty clear in terms of positions. Everyone has their place and we have two players in each position.”

“But since they are versatile, good and can play in different positions, we can certainly move them around.

Noni Madueke insists Chelsea are a great team despite the “exaggerated” noise surrounding “big boy” Enzo Maresca's team
