Mauricio Pochettino has insisted he has no problem with Pep Guardiola and apologized for turning down a handshake from the Manchester City manager.

The Chelsea manager reacted angrily after the 4-4 draw between the two teams at Stamford Bridge in November as he headed straight for referee Anthony Taylor.

Pochettino has faced Guardiola 23 times in his coaching career – more than any other boss – and has a dismal record against ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach.

Since beating the Citizens in the 2021 Champions League final, Chelsea have failed to beat City in their last seven attempts, losing six times.

But if they get the three points, they could finish the weekend in seventh place if Newcastle, West Ham and Brighton all lose.
